We took family pictures on the beach. It was very windy that afternoon, but beach pictures always turn out beautiful.

This was Coleman and Emma first trip to the beach and Coleman had a blast. He wouldn't take his hat or sunglasses off the whole time we were on the beach.

Busy Week

We have had an extremely busy week. On tuesday we went to Birmingham to pick up my niece and nephew. They are going to be staying with us for a couple of weeks. We are so excited they are here. Coleman loves it when they come because it gives him someone to play with.

Gage and Gracie have never seen Emma so they were very excited to get to see her. We have also had Vacation Bible School this week. So we have been busy bees all week. Hopefully we will all be able to rest up for next week.

Just an update. Emma will be 10 weeks old on Sunday. I can't believe it has been two and a half months already. Boy how time flies. She weighed over 10 lbs. when we went to the doctor the other day.

I will probably cry when September gets here and Coleman turns two. He is growing up so fast. Well that is it for now. Post pics later.

Momma's you should appreciate pictures like this because they are one in a million. When I had these made I ask the photographer (Can you take their picture together?). She said it isn't up to me its up to them and she is right. If your children are not in the mood then you can forget it. Thankfully my two were in the right mood that day and it turned out great. YAY!!!!

Coleman has grown up so much since Emma was born. He has started talking more (some we can understand and some we can't)and doing things that big boys do. He loves his little sister very much and is very protective over her.

Aunt Becky and Aunt Roseanna sent Emma two beautiful dresses. Thank you so much. She wore this one to church on Sunday. She look adorable in it.

Well to fill everyone in we are doing great! I absolutely love being the mommy to two little ones. Emma Caite is growing so fast. We went to her one month appointment last week and she weighed 8 lbs. 15 oz. I know that doesn't seem like alot but after she was born she lost down to 6lbs. 15 oz. so to me she is getting so big. The Dr. said she will hit a growth spurt between one and two months and will grow alot. Anyways well my little man has changed so much since Emma has been born. I no longer have my baby boy I have my big boy. But that is okay I know he has to grow up sometime. He just loves his baby sister so much. Everytime she cries he is right there to make sure that she is okay. He is a great big brother.

I know it has been awhile since I updated everyone. We are doing great. Emma is growing like a weed, and still has a head full of black hair. I am adjusting to being a mommy of two, it is a big difference. Instead of having one that needs myttention all the time I now have two that need it. But that is ok because I love it. I don't know what I would do without my children. Anyways, Coleman is a great big brother. He is such a big helper. He loves to give her kisses, and touch her hair, and toes. I don't know why he is so facinated with her hair but everytime he walks up to her, he lays his hand on her head and rubs her hair. It is so adorable I bet I have 30 pics of it. Well that is it for now. Will post more pics later.

We went to the lake on Sunday afternoon and took some family pictures. I think that they turned out great. Coleman loves to be outside so he was perfectly content. Little Emma didn't like the sunshine to much she kept making a funny face. But we had such a good time.

In the Fullbright family, there are lots of boys! Coleman has three uncles, three great uncles and seven boy cousins, just in the immediate family. (Counting off the top of my head!) Most of these boys are true country boys, they like to hunt, fish, be outdoors and a great logo for them is John Deere!

There is such baby fever going around the house, Coleman figures he should also jump in. He has his own baby, that he wraps up with Emma's blanket. He likes to hug and kiss his baby and put her to sleep.

Kayla and Emma are at home and adjusting very well. Emma seems to be a very content baby and is making her own schedule. Coleman is doing well with her although he doesn't like it very much when she cries.

Things have gone so smoothly through the labor, delivery, hospital stay and coming home. That was largely due to the prayers and support of family and friends.

Kayla's grandparents - Nana and PaPa came into town for a few days and they did an excellent job keeping Coleman and the household running smoothly. Everything that they did was appreciated by Kayla and the family and was an enormous blessing through this time.

Beverly who is a dear friend and neighbor was a great source of support and encouragement during the labor and delivery. Her visits and the gifts she brought are very much appreciated.

Of course in every situation there needs to be a heart and a head. Kayla's parents fit those roles in perfect unison. Kathy was there tending to every need with Kayla and the baby while Wes was the underlying source of strength and leadership for the family. Emma is so blessed to be a part of this household full of love and support.

She's Here!!!

Kayla went to the hospital late Sunday afternoon and the baby was born that night at 11:29. Labor progressed quickly and the birth went great. The baby girl is just perfect!! She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. and is 20 inches long. Grandma Kathy said that she has a head full of beautiful black hair and has already enjoyed a bath, lots of loving and is very content right now. She scored well on her Apgar test and is doing great.

Kayla and the baby will be in the hospital until Wednesday morning. Nana is at the house keeping things going there while Kathy stays at the hospital with Kayla. Pictures are coming soon!!

Here We Go!

Well it looks like we are not going to make it until Wednesday for Kayla's baby girl to get here. Kayla went to the hospital around 4:00 this afternoon and they have kept her. It is about 8:30 PM and she is dialated to 6 cenimeters. They have started an iv on her for fluids and she can get an epidural when she gets plenty of fluids in her.

Kathy is there at the hospital with her and Nana is keeping things going at the house.

Hoping for a big announcement in the morning!

Big Brother

Coleman is excited to become a big brother. He has grasped the concept of where the baby is - in the belly. When you ask him "where is the baby", he point to HIS belly!!! He loves babies which will be a blessing and he likes to hug and kiss them! We're going to get some pictures of him up here soon. Coleman is climbing now and is beginning to say a few words - all except Mama! Yep, he's a stubborn Fullbright!!

Kayla is still hanging in there, contractions are still coming and going. Her back has been hurting, but she did some walking yesterday which we know is soooo good for you!!!

Baby Info

To fill you in on how things are going so far for Kayla, she is actually due April 13 but will be induced Wednesday. The baby girl now is estimated to weigh between 6-1/2 and 7 lbs. - Perfect!!

Kayla has been having a lot of contractions - Braxton Hicks and real ones. They say the more of these you have at home, the less your body has to work during labor, I guess this is "work at home" labor!

The baby girl's name is still undecided. The middle name will be Caite and it is narrowed down to Emma, Emmie or Emily. For fun we've put up a poll so that you can share your favorite name.

Nana and Papa (Kayla's grandparents) are in town for a few days. They plan to stay until after the baby is born. What a blessing this is to the family and their help and presence is appreciated!

Kayla's due date is April 13 and she is expecting her second child. The baby is a girl and apparently she wants to come a little early! Kayla will be induced on Wednesday April 8 if she does not go into labor by Wednesday.

Hey Friends and Family, I am so sorry for the big gap in the last time I posted. I have been so busy. As most of you know by now I am pregnant. So with that and keeping up with Coleman is a big task and I don't find much time to do anything else. I am very excited about going home to Florida for Thanksgiving. I will get to see family that I haven't seen in a long time. I know that Coleman will have lots of fun with his cousins.

Hi guys! Well as you know Coleman started walking. It has really been an exciting time for me, although he is in to everything. It is so much fun when you have to chase them everywhere and everyday they are learning something new. I am watching him grow up so fast and I just want him to stop growing and stay a little boy.

We had dinner with some friends on Sunday afternoon. While we where there he found the rocking chairs on the front porch. So I had to get some pics of him rocking in them.

Hey guys! Sorry I havn't wrote lately I have been pretty busy. We had a wonderful weekend. The Carnahan's spent Saturday and Sunday with us. On Saturday Momma, Mrs. Beverly, Lyndsey and myself all cleaned the garage. We had a really good day. My momma through away stuff that she would have never gotten rid of with out Mrs. Beverly. Then about midafternoon our septic tank started flooding the yard so Mr. Bryan came over to try to fix it. On Sunday momma fixed lunch for everybody and we had a fun afternoon. Then around 4 we went to the park and saw the fish Coleman had so much fun.

This week Coleman and I haven't done very much. We have helped my momma around the house alot, but we don't mind. I like doing house work I have always felt that I would make a good housewife. My little boy has started walking. I am so excited we are going to have his Birthday party next weekend and he will be walking all around. I have just recently moved back to Alabama from Tennessee. My Mom and Dad live in Alabama and they let Coleman and myself move back in with them. I am hoping to finish Cosmetology School this yr. and be able to start working by the first of next yr. For those of you who are grandparents know what I am talking about when I say that my parents are spoiling Coleman rotten. Especially his Papa, who he thinks the sun rises and falls on.
